I had a pleasant stay enjoying the spacious room layout and nice hot showers. The separate accommodation was quiet yet close enough for meals at the pub. I'd come back!

    clean room
    comfortable beds
    fresh milk
    dated decor
    basic amenities

The room was okay, a bit dated but clean. Beds were comfy, which was nice after a long day. It had a fridge with fresh milk, like a little bonus. The bathroom was functional, though a little basic. I noticed a few things were worn but nothing too ridiculous. it did the job for one night, just felt a bit on the simple side rather than cozy or cute.

The friendly bar staff remembered our orders, and the delicious lamb madras curry exceeded our expectations. The dog-friendly atmosphere made it even more enjoyable.

comfortable rooms but a bit dated

The beds were quite comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. I appreciated the provision of fresh milk for tea and coffee, as well as the nice selection of biscuits.

The rooms could definitely use some updates, as they felt a bit dated.

    cleaning issues

Unfortunately, the room lacked a thorough clean. a layer of dust coated surfaces, and the carpet seemed long overdue for a vacuum. Minor maintenance issues were evident, too, with peeling wallpaper and an untidy bed that suggested hasty housekeeping. the breakfast setup left much to be desired, as cheap packaged items replaced what one would expect as a freshly cooked meal. While the beer garden was a quaint touch, it could use some maintenance—overgrown and unkempt. The Wi-Fi was nearly non-existent, making it difficult to get work done or stay connected. Noise from the nearby road may also disrupt light sleepers, especially from larger vehicles passing by.

This was a balanced option for a weekend respite in Blandford Forum with real value for money. The staff were very welcoming, especially when I arrived late at night. Just check the wardrobe for tea/coffee—it’s in there!

    dated accommodation
    service hiccups
    meal timing issues

The friendly staff provided excellent service, and the accommodation's separation from the pub made for a quieter stay. The shower pressure was fantastic, allowing for a refreshing experience. the room felt a bit dated, and there were some service hiccups with meal orders that affected the dining experience. On the bright side, the food was quite tasty, highlighting local flavors, particularly the Brie and Bacon Baguette.

Charming Country Pub with a Delightful Dining Experience

I had a lovely one-night stay at this cozy inn. The food served at the pub was exceptional, with generous portions and a great selection of locally brewed ales. My room was clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. a bit more attention to the maintenance of the exterior would enhance the overall experience.
